National Oilwell Varco is recruiting an Accountant, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- The Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures, for the NOV GL accounting system
- Producing the required reports timeously
- To assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close Schedule
- Assist with monthly close procedures
- Analyse revenue and expenses so they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis and report on variance
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Assist with preparing audit files and reporting requirements
Requisites
- Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- Highly detail orientated and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft applications
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
