Assistant to National Finance Manager

Kuehne + Nagel is recruiting a Assistant to National Finance Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial information in accordance with internal and external requirements
- Ensuring the accuracy of Journal Entries into various accounts and preparing monthly financial reports including ratios
- Checking & preparing Investment Applications
- Review & prepare customer profitability analysis
- Monitor actions to improve loss making customers, centers with operational management
- Manage intercompany disputes
- Co-ordination with the Operations & sales departments for RFC and Target reporting
- Review the Expenditure budget
- Explaining the Variance on a Monthly basis
- Auditing: Checking and assisting in preparing audit schedules and interacting with Internal & External auditors in completing audits
- Liaising with Auditors and the local management for Annual audit process (audit queries explanation)
- Conducting Internal Audit with in the departments to ensure the accuracy of the records
- MIS Reports/Month End Closing
- Preparation of Trial Balance – Reconciling all the accounts
- Preparation of Profit & Loss Statement
- Preparation of Balance sheet
- Revenue Variance Report (NP2 Variance)
- Checking Webforms
- Month End closing
- Administration/Banking
- Employee work-permit/visa Issues (if required)
- Other HR & Administrative related matters (LMRA, GOSI)
- Verifying Cash and Bank Reconciliations done by local accounting teams
- Process Management
- Participating in execution of quality improvements initiatives in the process for continual improvements
- Analyse challenges and draw back and initiating corrective actions
Requisites
- Diploma in Finance, Economy or BA Minimum 5 years’ experience (preferably in the forwarding & logistics industry) in financial activities as accounting, controlling and reporting
- Portuguese speaking and fluent in English
- Analytic and problem solving skills
- Computer Skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spread sheets and word processing programs
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and methods as they apply to financial statements
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality concerning financials
- Book keeping Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
