Shalina Healthcare is recruiting a Civil Engineer, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Ensure Projects are executed as per Specifications, cost and time parameters
- Efficiently coordinate with Contractors/Consultants and other entities to execute the project
- Review working drawings in all aspects, approve and issue working drawings to contractors
- Monitor Site activities to ensure quality, safety and progress of work to be in compliance with contract requirements
- Carry out daily site inspections to ensure work is in compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Monitor construction progress on daily basis and report to the Project Manager & HO on the progress of all project activities
- Issue Non Conformity Reports and follow-up to ensure that the needful is done to correct them
- Assist Project Manager in administration, scheduling, cost control and processing RFIs (Request For Inspection)
- Review weekly and monthly reports presented by Contractor and present to Project Manager with comments
- Review and pass monthly bills of Contractor/consultants/other entities
- Coordination with Contractors and Sub contractors
Requisites
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in residential and warehouse building construction, including experience in interior fit out, MEP systems, and infrastructure/landscape related works
- Exposure/Experience in Africa will be added advantage
- Fluent in English
- Planning skills, leadership skills, relationship management, construction metidos, safety and quality control and Documentation skills
