TURTLE Management AG is recruiting a Compliance Officer, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Regular review of internal processes, procedures and policies
- Propose changes for improvement or periodic reviews of internal processes, procedures and policies
- Ensure the application of current legislation in agreements and institutional commitments
- Conduct internal audits of investment activity
- Evaluate periodically compliance with the code of conduct and ethics
- Hold training and awareness sessions on confidentiality commitments, applicability of the client's code of conduct and adherence to the principles of Santiago
- Develop and update internal legislation and regulatory obligations that affect the client's business in functional and reputational terms
- Monitor the activity plan of the Departments inherent to the client
- Monitor and evaluate the quarterly financial statements (accounting standards)
Requisites
- Degree in Economics, Business Management, Accounting & Finance or Law
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in similar functions
- Interest for legislation and regulation of international financial markets
- Proficiency in audit and inspection procedures
- Solid knowledge of internal control
- Accuracy and solid analytic capacity
- High maturity and professionalism
- Proactive and initiative spirit
- Team player, quick critical thinker and problem solver, able to take responsibility when required
- Ability to prioritize and think outside the box
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
