Electrical Engineer

Angola LNG

Angola LNG is recruiting a Electrical Engineer, to be based in Luanda, Angola.

Duties
  • Conduct/participate in teams conducting: power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, protective relaying coordination, motor starting, harmonic analysis, reliability, transient stability, dynamic stability, load shedding and failure analysis
  • Assist in factory tests and pre-commissioning and field tests of large, critical motors and generators, adjustable speed drives and other equipment as required
  • Apply national/international standards and specifications in design, application, installation of electrical equipment and systems to properly select electrical equipment such as motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, protective relaying, adjustable speed drives and other electrical equipment
  • Prepare one-line and protection and metering diagrams
  • Work in cross-functional or multi-functional team environments with craftsmen, operators, peers, subject matter experts and managers
  • Apply Safety concepts: in cooperation with operations and maintenance personnel develop procedures for safe installation, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems, embed electrical safety principles in design, selection and installation of electrical equipment and systems
  • Mentor national engineering staff, Ensure that the national electrical engineers are provided adequate training and guidance to assume a lead electrical engineering position within a specified timeframe
Requisites
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5-10 Years of work experience in the oil/gas industry with a focus on LNG, knowledgeable in industry standard codes and practices related to the requirements and application of electrical engineering to the design, construction, and operation of plant systems to produce liquefied natural gas and associated products (LPGs, Condensate, Domestic Gas)
  • Apply electrical engineering/electrical equipment knowledge: understand and be able to apply electrical engineering and power generation concepts and techniques to the design of plant electrical equipment and systems used in the conditioning, treating, separation, purification, and transformation of natural gas into LNG and associated hydrocarbon products
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred candidates - Angolans
