Oceaneering is recruiting a Fabrication Welder, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Mark on parts the appropriate work number and other identification marks as required
- Prepares all surfaces of the material to be welded, ensuring that there are no loose or thick scales, slag, rust, moisture, grease or foreign substances
- Prepares the parts to be welded, applying the appropriate treatment, so as to obtain a perfect weld
- It selects the materials, the machines, the tools and the auxiliary means to use according to the work to be done
- Fixed, secured, adhered, folded with heat, shredded or bolted to achieve the required configurations and positions for soldering components
- Selects and installs torches, fill and flow rods, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals
- Interprets the drawings and other technical specifications, chooses the electrodes, fixes them and regulates the station, according to the nature of the welding to be performed
- Preheat parts before welding or bending, using torches or heating furnaces; It connects the pipes using a welding station and manually actuates a device that causes the addition metal (electrode) to be melted by means of an electric arc or other welding system
Requisites
- Proven experience as welder
- Ability to Weld GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), also known as MIG/MAG (MIG - Metal Insert Gas) and (MAG - Metal Active Gas)
- Ability to weld TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), also known as GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Proficient in English
