Standard Chartered Bank is recruiting a Internship - Finance, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Work closely with FORM in Angola to ensure all FCP requirements relating to reconciliations are met
- Perform reconciliation on all suspense and sundry accounts in line with signed-off frequency in the account ownership
- Work closely with ITO to ensure they also appropriate documentation for all their reconciliations
- Ensure appropriate filling of all supporting documentation for reconciliations
- Work closely with the Africa Intercompany team to ensure intercompany balances are agree with counterparty balances
- Carry out daily trial balance review and ensure all identified exceptions are escalated to appropriate unit for resolution
- Perform Key Control Standard assessment assigned for Management and Regulatory Reporting activities
- Maintain up-to-date DOI on all reconciliations
Requisites
- A broad appreciation of banking practice and management techniques
- A good knowledge of banking and accounting procedures and requirements
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and communicate clearly and logically both in writing and orally
- A formal business studies qualification – University degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and/or partly completed professional qualification - CA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA, etc
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- An eye for detail and accuracy with a strong analytical capability
- Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and
- High level of computer literacy is required
