Logistics Consultant/Contractor

UNDP is recruiting a Logistics Consultant/Contractor, to be based in Luanda, Angola.

Duties
  • Liaise with and visit central and provincial storage facilities regularly to monitor stock level, distribution plan to the municipalities and facilities and reporting from the provincial to central level Within one week after visit, prepare a report and submit to INLS and UNDP
  • Monitor the distribution plan and stock level at provincial levels
  • Collect and file at central level the Provincial distribution and consumption reports
  • Ensure prompt notification to INLS and UNDP on urgent issues related to losses, expired products and stock outs
  • Monitor the delivery of pharmaceuticals and HIV health products at central storage facilities
  • Prepare a monthly analysis of the stock situation at central and provincial levels
  • In collaboration with other partners, support in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Stock Management
  • Demonstrates commitment to UNDP´s mission, vision and values

  • Ability in strengthening public healthcare national systems is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc) required
Requisites
  • BA/MA in a health area or business management
  • Diploma or Certificate in supply chain Logistics or Procurement
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in supply chain area
  • Work experience in a development context is essential and an international organization desirable
  • Experience of working and/or knowledge of the Global Fund and/or HIV an asset
  • Written and verbal fluency in Portuguese required and English highly desirable
