Airswift is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, to be based in Negola, Angola.
Duties
- The plant mechanical engineering function is required for the successful optimal operation of a hydrocarbon processing plant
- The facility will produce a variety of hydrocarbon products (LNG, LPGs, Condensate, and Domestic Gas)
- Prior to plant startup, plant mechanical engineers will, depending on their date of hire, be involved in plant construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance test monitoring
- Once the plant is operational, plant mechanical engineers will assume responsibility for monitoring the installed mechanical equipment throughout the plant and assist the appropriate maintenance technicians to ensure efficient operation of this equipment
- Monitor technology changes and updates of equipment in heat exchange, rotating equipment (pumps, gas turbines, compressors, airfin coolers, etc.), valves, piping/insulation systems
- Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure plant mechanical systems are modernised as such programs can be justified on a cost effective basis; In cooperation with process engineering and operations, work toward the optimization of plant operations, maximizing plant product production (LNG, LPGs, Condensate, Domestic Gas) from available plant feed stock at minimum expenditure of plant resources (equipment, manpower, capital)
- Work with the operations group to execute the conclusions of these studies
Requisites
- 10 years of experience in specific Mechanical Engineering Tasks: Such as development of mechanical equipment and systems for natural gas processing, has designed, developed, and implemented appropriate heat exchange, rotating equipment, piping/insulation systems for light hydrocarbon plant operations and studies
- Broad experience in the Oil/Gas Industry with a focus on LNG: Knowledgeable in industry standard codes and practices related to the engineering, design, construction, and operation of mechanical equipment and systems used in the production of liquefied natural gas and associated products (LPGs, Condensate, Domestic Gas)
- Apply General Heat Exchanger, Rotating Equipment, Piping/Insulation Equipment Knowledge: Understands and is able to apply engineering design concepts and knowledge of plant equipment for the specification and installation of required heat exchange, rotating equipment, piping/insulation systems for the conditioning, treating, separation, purification, and transformation of natural gas into LNG and associate hydrocarbon products
- Understands the interaction of plant streams (fluids) with specific process equipment and systems such that the specified equipment can be properly installed in the operating plant
