Maersk Oil is recruiting a Offshore Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
  • It is the Offshore Manager’s duty to ensure:
  • Safe and efficient operations in accordance with the Marine Operations Manager and the Master’s instructions, relevant legislation, and the Company's Management System
  • Knowledge of, adherence to, and implementation of the Company's policies with respect to health and safety, environment, quality, security, anti-corruption, fraud, smoking, drugs, and alcohol
  • Awareness of their responsibilities and obligations, as required by our Management System
  • The Offshore Manager, when conducting his duties, shall plan the vessel operation with Vessel Master according to the project plan, always encompassing both the project safety analysis and the vessel safety management system
  • Hereunder assure that 3rd party personnel and equipment is operated only under due on-board risk assessment
  • The Offshore Manager shall, when leading the project crew including 3rd party contractors, always promote the Company safety procedures and never compromise on these
  • Responsible for communication and reporting between offshore crew including 3rd party, vessel crew and onshore team
Requisites
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as Offshore Manager or equivalent
  • Subsea engineering education or other engineering
  • Alternatively other engineering such as electronics or Marine Captain
  • Preferably some education with Hydraulics or electrics
  • Project management education
  • Safety courses
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Have international experience
