SBM Offshore is recruiting a Operations Unit Manager, to be based in Luanda or Brazil, Angola.
Duties
- Establish effective client liaison and ensure continuous and good working relationship is maintained at all times
- Responsible for the performance and compliance of Company contractual obligations for the FPSO operation
- Liaise with governmental and statutory organization and ensure that the Company complies with all its statutory, national and international obligations
- Implement and manage the Company’s MS Policy for the FPSO operation Ensure it is being effectively implemented by all personnel
- Maintain a continuous performance review of the FPSO operations and take corrective action whenever deficiencies are identified
- Obtain all necessary technical and professional support for the FPSO operation in liaison with Production Management Office, consultants, manufacturers, vendors and contractors as required
- Periodically review local sub-contracts, direct negotiations and make contractual changes as necessary
- Manage and approve the employment of local staff in accordance with the approved complement and Company procedures
- Periodically review and appraise onshore and offshore staff performance
- Prepare and obtain approval for FPSO operation and Shore Base budgets Review monthly financial forecasts for FPSO operation and Shore Base costs and take corrective actions where potential budget overruns are identified Where unavoidable overruns arise, ensure that negative budget variances are processed according to Company rules
- Liaise with the Company Controller/Cost Accounting Manager to ensure that Company procedures are followed and all the activities necessary to meet the requirements of the Controller and Accounts Dept are fully met by the Shore Base facilities
- Liaise and coordinate with local directors, governmental and statutory organizations and ensure that the Company operation complies with all its legal and statutory obligations
