BP is recruiting a Pressure Systems Integrity Engineer, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Leading the integrity of the offshore pressure systems
- Delegated Inspection Authority for pressure systems inspection under the requirements of GP 32-30
- Ensuring that the integrity management contractor inspection plan is up to date and executed in conformance with BP activity planning requirements; Attending BP Activity planning meetings
- Ensuring that the written schemes of examination for the topsides pressure systems are up to date and in accordance with the output of the RBA's
- Hold an independent view of PSI related integrity risk and support local RAP process
- Ensuring that anomalies are identified and managed through the GOO anomaly management process and appropriate FMO's, repair plans or TQ's are raised
- Delivering the pressure systems self-verification activities
- Responsible for ensuring that the pressure systems corrosion risk based assessments (RBA's) are up to date and complete; Working with operations, process, engineering and HSE teams to ensure changes and anomalies are assessed and the RBA's updated
- Working closely with the integrity management contractor planner and project manager and offshore inspection team to optimise execution of the plan
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement within the RBA and inspection programs
- Delivering KPI reports and integrity dashboards for the FPSO and performance managing the integrity management contractor through work management KPI's for the Asset
- Providing technical support to engineering services teams and other operations teams, supporting the MoC process and providing technical input in the field of materials, corrosion and welding
- Developing and mentoring national Angolan staff
- Demonstrate leadership and compliance with BP Angola's HSSE expectations
- Work to and follow GOO PSI Practices, Procedures & Guides, and ensure local conformance by the IM contractor
- Ensure that the written schemes of examination (PM build) for the topsides pressure systems are up to date and in accordance with the output of the RBA's
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement within the RBA and inspection programs
- Planning and Execution
- Provide PSI input to the Regional Annual Plan. Ensure 8Q plan for asset is up to date
- Lead development of Annual Activity Plan, ensuring all work is scheduled through the Activity Planning & Work Management processes (i.e. SAP PM & Backbone)
- Work closely with Structures and Floating Systems Engineer, Corrosion Engineer and the integrity management contractor planner, project manager and offshore inspection team to integrate and optimise execution of the inspection
- Participate in BP Activity planning meetings 8Q/4Q/12W/6W, functional and area
- Ensure PSI conformance to OMS 5.4 Essentials
- Ensure that anomalies are identified and managed through the GOO anomaly management process and appropriate maintenance orders (MOs), Repair Orders (ROs) or Technical Queries (TQs) are raies; Actively driving the anomaly through the work flow to Notification of Completion (NOCO)
Requisites
- A degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering or another relevant discipline
- Experience of inspection planning and execution in a live hydrocarbon processing environment
- Experience and technical understanding of the common industry NDT techniques and their advantages and drawbacks
- An understanding of materials properties, material degradation mechanisms and mitigation techniques within the upstream oil and gas sector
- Awareness of pressure system design codes and basic fitness for service assessments
- Conversant with isometric drawings, pressure equipment general arrangement drawings and piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
- Familiar with the use of computerised maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP, MAXIMO) and inspection databases (e.g. ACET)
- Experience of managing with 3rd party service providers
- Experience of inspection planning and execution in a live hydrocarbon processing environment
- Good written and oral English language skills
- Holding or working towards Chartered or Professional engineer status
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
