GE is recruiting a Project Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
  • Be a visible leader and advocate of EHS for all Angolan work sites for the project. Work closely with the EHS organization to develop Safety initiatives to foster best in class EHS cultures, drawing upon EHS framework elements
  • Translate the agreed terms and conditions into project/sales orders and establish the internal scope of work
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the stakeholders, delegating authority where appropriate
  • Leading and developing the internal Company project teams in support of achieving a full package delivery to our clients
  • Ensure that project schedule with milestones, manpower requirements and cost budgets are established
  • Ensure business financial objectives are under control in term of Revenue/CM/Past dues and report on regular basis
  • Implement a structured and dynamic risk strategy to support all phases of work and risk mitigation work including cash provision requirement and drive regular reporting
  • Develop and drive effective operating rhythm with customer and be fully engaged to customer needs along Company business objective
  • Drive weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reviews with customer including right level of stakeholders
  • Influence and drive all necessary functions, including EHS Management and QA, are established and organized in a way that ensure an effective and safe execution of the scope of work and that all participants understand clearly the project goals
  • Build one team strategy into a dedicated or non-dedicated team, drive enthusiastic and collaborative team work
  • Establish and maintain clear lines of communication within the stakeholders and with the Customer, the product line team, Sub-contractors and Suppliers
  • Generate, in conjunction with the designated finance Accountant, all cost control and reporting templates and reports. Continually monitor the Projects’ cost performance throughout its duration
  • Measure Cost of poor quality and track warranty cases in term of progress, financials and customer communication
  • Ensure that all the necessary technical and non-technical reviews and audits are planned and carried out to maintain customer contractual requirements as well as local business and product line requirements
  • Ensure that Sourcing function are able to plan procurement, intercompany Purchase Order and are owning vendor On time delivery
  • Be an effective local point of escalation to secure the right levels of support to meet project goals
  • Monitor the project's performance in a systematic way regarding quality, safety, progress and cost and initiate the necessary corrective/mitigating actions if deviations occur
  • Effectively manage internal Variation Orders and Customer instigated Change Orders
  • Provide project metrics and contractual reporting as is required by the business and customer to maintain SSA Offshore performances of progress and finance
  • Liaison with global and local rental tool fleet Service Organization to ensure activities are planned, resourced, budgeted and managed to meet project goals, both financial and schedule
  • Drive adherence to required storage, segregation and record keeping policies as required by product line and customer contractual requirement
  • Create a reporting structure so as to effectively communicate Installation and Commissioning schedule to the project team as changes occur
  • Liaison with local Service Organization to maintain focus upon in-country manning plans to service Training, Test, Installation & Commissioning offshore schedule
  • Escalation of shortfalls to regional leadership team as appropriate
Requisites
  • Degree in Engineering or Business discipline
  • Hold successful previous technical experience within one or more of the following technical area: offshore/Wellhead/Drilling/Completion of subsea production system
  • Oil and Gas or other relevant industry experience
  • Commercial and contractual experience
  • Previous experience as Project Team leader or key member
  • Exposure to high capital value projects in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Experience of working in Angola or other challenging environments
  • Multi-tasking and able to satisfy multiple stakeholders and make effective call to adjust task priority without compromising company standards and customer expectations
  • Challenge and lean driven, looking to stretch goals to achieve more with less
  • Ability to navigate into multi-modal and cultural organization
