Assistant Mooring Master

Airswift

Airswift is recruiting an Assistant Mooring Master, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
  • Safely berth and unberth export tankers for FPSO offloads, handle Bills of Lading, vetting tankers, and coordinate offloads. Station keeping while berthed
  • Performing maintenance of the offloading system
  • Professional and practical operational knowledge and experience of handling Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) and Suez Max vessels as Master or Pilot/Mooring Master
  • Berthing and unberthing of all export vessels
  • Pre-arrival communications
  • Pre-mooring inspections and vessel approval
  • Tanker product transfer operations
  • Audit and monitor export vessel cargo operations, condition and performance
  • Assist with offloading equipment inspections and maintenance
  • Responsible for cargo documentation - Bills of Lading
  • Fully conversant with all aspects of the company operating standards, procedures, and quality levels
  • Ensure compliance with Angolan Labor law and Company policies
  • Minimize berthing conflicts between Drilling Rig moves, Field Development Ships, and Survey Vessels
  • Coordinate Tanker scheduling based predicted production rates
Requisites
  • Active Unlimited Masters License AGT issued by USCG (or equivalent) and a current STCW certificate for PIC of Dangerous Liquids or a Class1 Master's Certificate of Competency with a Tankerman/Dangerous Liquid Petroleum endorsement
  • Computer knowledgeable
  • Familiar with Word/Excel
  • Metric System for use on vessels
  • Knowledge of FPSO's regulations
  • Basic understanding foreign customs on vessels
  • Education Required: Training in both offshore SBM and Tandem mooring operations
