Aker Solutions is recruiting a Chief Accountant, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
General supervision
- Participates in the preparation of the work plan and budget, with the AKAS’s financial plans, if requested
- Presents reports and actual accounting data periodically
- Ensures that all general bills have a reception report, checks the service and/or quantity, custom prices or contract and code invoices with their accounting codes and cost centers
- Displays to the Ministry of Finance, Tax Withholding records and monthly training Contributions reconciling the general ledger and ensuring that the correct amounts for payments of invoices are being retained
- Provides support to internal and external auditors of the other regulatory authorities
- Coordinates and responds to requests for information and clarification, within its scope of knowledge and activity
- In close collaboration with other departments, supports the resolution of accounting problems, if requested
- Prepares financial reports for management in accordance with the Company's guidelines
General Accounting and Treasury
- Supervises the team of accountants, ensuring the correct and timely recording of transactions
- Coordinates the classification of documents, taking into account the chart of accounts used by AKA
- Interprets and analyzes the accounting rules and principles of Angolan law
- Oversees the registration of transactions in the General Ledger (Balance sheet - TB, daily records)
- Directs the Company's working capital, to prevent cash-outs
- Keeps the system of cost accounting updated, ensuring the correct registration documentation by cost centers
- Performs monthly and quarterly closures
- Collaborates in the annual closure of accounts
Taxation
- Supervises and timely prepares tax returns and the calculation of taxes payable/receivable
- Controls the fiscal area, analyzing the Company's accounts, invoices and contracts, preparing documentation and reports for monitoring AKA tax obligations
- Analyzes and treats all tax documents, evaluating their impact
- Provides advice on all matters related to tax regulations
- Provides technical advice on taxes
- Performs tax simulations at the request of his superiors
- Keeps up to date with respect to changes in the legislation
Requisites
- Educational attainment level of a degree in Finance or Accounting Field
- Superior Professional experience 5 years in similar functions
- Portuguese and English fluently
- Computer skills as a user, with a particular focus on the spreadsheet and databases
- Good knowledge of SAP HFM
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Good knowledge of budgeting and cost analysis
- Practice in scheduling and job control
- Commercial and financial mathematics literacy
