Millar Cameron is recruiting a Commercial Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.

  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends
  • Conducts market research, positioning of products, conception and maintenance of marketing materials, such as brochures, movies, etc.
  • Handles overall management of the Customer Experience with products and services
  • Performs generation and pursuit of sales leads
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities
  • Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
  • Is expected to achieve and exceed sales budget; He will drive profitability through increasing the sales and controlling the expenses while maintaining company professional standards
  • Establishes specific market strategies to gain share of markets and distribution
  • Prepares the annual Sales and Marketing budget to be submitted on time to the Business Support Manager
  • Prepares on a monthly basis a sales performance review and take the corrective actions when needed to remain in line within the company’s business plan
  • Handles with tact all customers’ complaints when it occurs
  • Plan and organize the territories between the Key Accounts Sales Representatives and Sales Representatives, assign the sales target and establish the company standards in term of customer’s calls, daily reporting and orders follow up
  • Inspires and constantly motivates the team and lead by example. Trains and develops his staff members to gain knowledge of the products, the sales methods and the after sales services
  • Prepares a business plan for the distributors and monitor its execution in the field
  • Undertakes any other assignment as per his direct superior instructions
  • A higher educational degree in a relevant field (economics, marketing etc.)
  • Full professional fluency in Portuguese is mandatory and either English or French too
  • 5 years experience in sales and commercial environment
  • Independent work style, whilst also being a good team player
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience of working in Africa is highly beneficial
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication
