Turtle Management AG is recruiting a Director Project Finance, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- HR: Recruit and lead a dedicated local Finance & Accounting Team (up to 5 people)
- Planning, Policy and Investor Relations: Establish baseline and budgets in connection with master schedule
- Develop financial business plans and forecasts for operational phase
- Engage the finance committee of the board of directors to develop short, medium and long-term financial plans and projections accordingly
- Interact with local banking partners and authorities
- Finance: Defines cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
- Ensure liquidity on cash
- Guarantees proper safeguarding of investment and asset
- Guarantees timely payments of third parties (suppliers,)
- Be responsible to develop and use predictive financial models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
- Strategy: Implement and manage all necessary tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to Management (Group finance department, BoD, Sr Executives,) and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
- Inform all interested parties in issues, trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and operational delivery
- Accounting and Administration: Implementation and ensuring maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures and processes (Port of Caio)
- Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, investment advisors)
- Interacts and control deliveries of project consultants (PMO, QS,)
- Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements on a stand-alone and consolidated basis
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
Requisites
- A Finance specialist with a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Management
- Post-graduate in related field is a must
- Additional PhD or business qualification or investment management (MBA) is an advantage
- Excellent skills in planning, analysing and coordinating activities
- Very good skills in establishing priorities
- A team player, used to work in an international and fast growing, dynamic environment
- Self-motivated, independent, winning and hands-on personality and strong negotiator
- Fast, critical thinker and conflict solver, capable of taking responsibilities when needed
- Ability to manage a challenging workload under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and think out of the box, very good MS Office skills
- Experience with common financial accounting tools is a must
- Fluency in English (excellent verbal and writing skills)
- Latin Language (e.g. Portuguese, Spanish) Skills are a plus
