Farm Manager

TURTLE Management AG is recruiting a Farm Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.

Duties

• Prepare the Plan of production based on the general plan prepared by the Task Force Team
• Supervise the production and ensure that the Plan's targets are met
• Planning the field work and manage their teams and all human resources of Finance
• Implementation of the annual plan
• Management and supervision of equipment and facilities, including parts suppliers control/maintenance on the farm
• Working out with the minimum of one week the Monthly Plan needs for each department, based on the annual plan
• Prepare the monthly report and rigorous cost analysis
• Ensure a regular basis that are made all the records and control of inputs and outputs of products in stock in the warehouse
• Keep the contact and ongoing information to the Task Force Team
• Ensure ongoing communication with officials and traditional authorities, public and private entities and preserve a good relationship with the local population

Requisites

• Minimum 8 years proven professional experience as Line Managers in medium to large farming operations in Angola, Sub-Saharan Africa and/or Brazil
• University or Technical Degree in Agronomy, Livestock or Agricultural Engineering from a renowned institution in Angola or abroad
• Experience and knowledge of precision agriculture techniques
• Proven professional experience in techniques of irrigation, cultivation of seeds, control of weeds, pests and diseases, amongst others
• Leadership, organization and planning skills
• Fast, critical thinker and conflict solver, capable of taking responsibilities when needed
• Ability to prioritize and think out of the box
• Immediate Availability
• Fluency in Portuguese and English, any other Latin language is a plus
