Naurex is recruiting a FOPS Planning Engineer, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE and to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility
- To be informed of Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), TEP Angola, Corporate and Project procedures related to Planning and Reporting, for application to his activities
- To liaise and coordinate with the Project Control team, and specifically with the Planning & Reporting Leader, from whom he shall comply with rules and requirements (functional link)
- To define (and update as necessary), in liaison with the PC Planning & Reporting Leader, suitable Work Breakdown Structures complying with Project and FOPS Package needs in terms of progress control, cost control and reporting, for all phases of the Project
- To participate to the development, update and revision, for the FOPS Package part, of the Overall Project Schedules as required by PC Planning & Reporting Leader, and to provide analyses and simulations of new schedules also as required
- To coordinate the activities performed by all the FOPS Package Planning and Reporting engineers on sites, giving clear instructions for consistency of activities
- To control implementation of FOPS Package Contractors’ procedures and schedules, scheduling and progress control methodology, to monitor FOPS Package Contractors’ execution schedules, to check and approve FOPS Package Contractors’ progress measurement and progress reports
- To liaise actively with the FOPS Control Leader, Package Manager and Deputy, as well as, in general, with all FOPS Specialists, Discipline Leaders, and Company Site Representatives for all scheduling and progress measurement related activities
- As a general manner, to provide assistance to the FOPS Package Manager and FOPS Control Leader for all matters related to FOPS Package scheduling and progress reporting and general reporting
- To timely report to the FOPS Control Leader, highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern
- To ensure and impose strict confidentiality for all the scheduling and progress measurement related documentation produced (whatever its support)
- To gather ‘lessons learnt’ wrt to scheduling, progress control and reporting matters and prepare feedback
- To prepare minutes of meetings and key messages regarding scheduling and progress, for weekly and monthly meetings
- To participate in schedule risk analysis exercises
- To prepare (and update as necessary) REX Template
Requisites
- Knowledge: Scheduling / progress control techniques; Scheduling / progress control tools; Multi-discipline engineering / construction; Negotiation with Contractors / Suppliers; Contract Management; Knowledge of Company rules / procedures; Knowledge of International standard and norms; Team management / relationship; Writing (for reporting purposes)
- Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent in related domain
- Languages: English mandatory. Portuguese would be a plus
- Project Management
- Professional Experience (years): 3-10
- Experience in similar position (years): +/- 2
