Robert Walters is recruiting a General Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Lead and direct the entire Angolan operation - employees, assets and resources to effectively deliver the objectives of the organisation's strategic plans
- Collaborate with executive team to provide leadership for the local based team
- Implement and manage strategies to drive improvement of internal processes to enhance efficiency and alignment with the group’s processes
- Increase and strengthen the market share of the organisation and position the group as a favourable brand in the market
- Drive business development by building on existing relationships with local
- Authorities and creating and managing new relationships where possible
Requisites
- MBA Qualification or Masters in an appropriate field
- Proficiency is Portuguese and English to establish business negotiations and reporting
- More than ten years of Managing FMCG organisations
- The experience managing sales, logistics, IT, HR, Safety/Security, finance and admin
- Ability to create rapport with clients in the formal and informal market
- Direct line management experience supervising a minimum of eight Managers
- Leading the operations of a team of more than 500 staff members
