Puma Energy is recruiting a Group Chief Accountant, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- In coordination with the Deputy Finance Managers ensures accuracy of posting. Prepare monthly balance sheet analysis. Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Ensures on daily basis that sub ledgers agree to the General Ledger
- Ensures that cash movements for COCO SS are posted and closed no later than 5 working days after transaction was initiated
- Ensures that bank reconciliations are closed no later than 7 working days after transaction was initiated
- Ensures that Supplier are paid according to contract terms and that all supplier balances are cleared no later than 60 days after transaction was initiated
- Ensures that taxes are correctly recorded and paid no later than the 15th of each month
- Ensures that payroll is processed and paid no later than the 25th of each month
Requisites
- Previous experience within Accounting and Management is desirable
- A minimum of 5/10 years of experience in an industrial business. Oil industry experience is preferred
- Strong experience in internal control is desirable
- MBA/ACCA would be an advantage
- Pro-active, team leader
- Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables, graphs and data analysis
- Comfortable working with multiple IT systems – MS Office, Navision, etc
- Knowledge of database systems would be advantageous
- Fluent in English
