British American Tobacco is recruiting a HR Business Partner, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Advise and guide managers in your business areas on:
- How to apply and interpret HR policies
- Salary and promotions
- Managing the performance appraisal process
- Identifying learning and development needs
- Employee relations (ER) issues and employment law
- Managing restructures, redundancies and grievances
- Developing effective individual development plans
- Manage the recruitment process to give candidates a positive experience, ensuring the line manager is proactive
- Prioritise and plan learning events for business areas
- Ensure we act on the results of employee opinion surveys and initiatives, and track progress
- Help manage the Talent and Leadership agenda for your functions and drive Talent action plans
- Work on HR projects that improve business and organisational performance
Requisites
- A graduate calibre HR professional with broad HR skills, ideally gained in a large multinational business
- As well as knowledge of HR systems, you’ll need strong professional HR skills, including employment law
- You’ll respect confidentiality and will have the confidence to proactively build relationships and influence management decisions
- In our rapidly changing environment you’ll need to take the initiative and juggle priorities, while delivering first class consumer service
- With good English communication skills, you’ll be used to working with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- You’ll understand and apply the principles of job design and job evaluation
