Bureau Veritas is recruiting a Junior Finance Controller, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Booking Receipts and Matching Invoices; Maintaining correct Aging
- Assisting in Collection
- Booking all Invoices in system for REV (AD22)
- Booking all monthly related entries for accurate AD50
- Performing all closing related activities related to AD50
- Analysis of main Balance sheet items
- Maintaining Bank Reconciliation
- Other Misc Task as required
- Environmental: dispose waste in a responsible manner
- Report all environmental incidents to management immediately or as soon as reasonable practicable
- Use natural resources in a responsible manner
- Participate in all emergency drills
- Conduct work to customer specific requirements and adhere to customer rules (where applicable)
- Participate and contribute to impact and aspect register with regard to your area of responsibility
- Ensuring compliance with legal & moral obligations with regard to the position by understanding & implementing relevant sections of the Environmental requirements for Angola
- Safety: Report all incidents and accidents to management immediate or as soon as reasonable practicable
- Take care of my own health and safety while conducting work
- Conduct work to customer specific requirements and adhere to customer rules (where applicable)
- Participate in emergency training
- Participate and contribute to hazard and risk register with regard to your area of responsibility
- Ensuring compliance with legal & moral obligations with regard to the position by understanding & implementing relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety requirements for Angola
- Maintains a high standard of housekeeping by implementing the relevant procedures with regards to best practices
Requisites
- Accounting Fundamentals, ERP system, Excel
- Portuguese and English speaking
- Proven experience of managing a team of 5+
- Strong commercial and finance experience
- Able to respect the deadlines
- Commitment to the company’s Core Values, Code of Ethics and ‘3 Absolutes’
- Good people engagement and relational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with people, both verbally and in writing
