Angola LNG is recruiting a Junior Turbine & Compressor Instrumentation Controls Specialist, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Communicate effectively in conversational and technical English with local crafts, international service centers and partners
- Plan and perform routine and major maintenance for instrumentation and controls for gas turbines, compressors and generators
- Use communication tools such as MS Office to direct and inform supporting teams effectively
- Manage critical spare parts for applicable equipment, including terminal boards, controller cards, instrumentation, and necessary cabling
- Navigate technical data; including manuals, drawings, field modifications, and develop required component lists
- Provide input to long-term planning and improvement projects
- Analyse and implement equipment upgrades, including the development and analysis for CAPEX projects supporting facility business objectives
Requisites
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree with proven experience in the area)
- 3 - 5 years of experience working in refinery, petrochemical or LNG facilities
- Prior operations, maintenance, engineering, or technician experience with gas turbines, compressors and generators is required
- Prior work experience with General Electric Control Systems (MKV, VI, VIe) in application with GE Frame 5, 6, 7 and 9 Gas Turbines is preferred
- Prior work experience with instrumentation and control systems for General Electric Frame 6 and 7 gas turbines, Nuovo Pignone compressors, Siemens gas turbines and generators is preferred
- Proficiency in conversational and technical English
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
