Airswift is recruiting a Maintenance Fixed and Rotating Equipment Team Lead, to be based in Negola, Angola.
Duties
  • Responsible for the day-to-day leadership, supervision and coordination of operation and maintenance activities of all mechanical (fixed and rotating) equipment
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and the coordination of operation and maintenance activities on all mechanical equipment, this includes but not limited to: Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines, Centrifugal, Screw-and Reciprocating Compressors and Systems, Heat Exchangers, Piping, Valves, Portable/Mobile mechanical tools and waste management equipment and emergency standby equipment
  • Leads efforts in diagnosing mechanical systems malfunctions and prescribes repairs or changes in work practice
  • Reviews findings with Maintenance Superintendent or Engineering when mechanical problems are complex or may lead to extended downtime or high costs
  • Assist technicians with performing, mentoring and guiding trainees, in order for them to evolve in their jobs and guarantee quantity & quality the levels of services provided & career development
  • Estimates material and labour requirements for assigned jobs, prepares material requisitions for approval
  • Plans and lays out work in accordance with work requirements utilizing drawings, sketches, and manuals as necessary; Directs installation, adjustment and repair work
  • Ensure resources are being utilized effectively
  • Reviews work in progress and at completion for compliance with standards of quality and safety
  • Reports & follow equipment and required documentation changes in line with MOC procedures creates & submit MOC for approval
  • Champions company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and practices good housekeeping
  • Reports or corrects unsafe conditions or practices
  • Ensures that maintenance work is performed in an efficient, safe and economical manner and that maintenance crews are fully productive every day
  • Ensures the integrity of all static equipment & rotating and pressurised systems are maintained in accordance with Integrity Management Plan
  • Development and maintain good working relationship with stakeholders, typically the instrumentation, electrical, fixed equipment department, operations management, Services, Maintenance Planners, Engineering, Key 3rd party contractors, shareholders Company, services providers and others
  • Develop work packages, JSA's, Job Plans, etc to ensure work will be done safely, identify spares, manpower resources requirements & ensure availability
  • Coordinate, mentor and guide maintenance technicians and trainees in order for them to evolve in their jobs and guarantee, quantity/quality of the levels services provided
  • Participate in the development of the organizational capability of the Maintenance Department
  • Participate in the recruiting, training and development of the Angolan Mechanical Maintenance Staff in Plant Maintenance roles
Requisites
  • Secondary school education plus mechanical based apprenticeship training which should be a 3 - 5 vocational credential ( HNC, HND or equivalent)
  • Familiar with Reliability Centred Maintenance
  • SAP - PM, MM - Knowledgeable
  • IT - MS Office, MS Excel, MS Database - Knowledgeable
  • Proficient English language level
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a diversified oil and gas processing environment of which at least 3 in a supervisory position
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance of plants
  • Extensive experience of all equipment and systems, associated with the Utilities & Process Hydrocarbons plants Oil and Gas Industry, with shutdown focused work experience
