Marketing Manager


Philips is recruiting a Marketing Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.

  • Responsible for the development of the marketing strategy for the MET SRC
  • Ensure a marketing calendar annually based on the strategies set in the planning
  • Orchestrates the (Strategy) BMC process and secures BMC targets in conjunction with SRC Management Team
  • Lead the market intelligence for MET SRC sector, providing market data/assumptions for market sizing development
  • Champions the voice of the customer and manages a holistic customer experience
  • Drives NPI process and successful launch for new products/services/solutions in the market in collaboration with SRC Team (Clinical, Sales, Customer Service, Finance and Quality and Regulatory)
  • Define and implement launch strategy for MET, localizing positioning, messaging to priority target segments, new segment development initiatives (e.local development and management of clinical advocates, development and management of reference sites) as appropriate
  • Work closely with Business Group Marketing and Product Marketing Managers for each business line, to ensure needs of local market are captured in cross regional campaigns and any specific market needs are highlighted; Collaborate across EMEA markets and leverage market solutions as appropriate
  • Work Closely with the Philips BCD and Digital team to create and build new initiatives and follow-up up closely till end of activation
  • Develop and implement initiatives which generate demand in new and existing segments
  • Identify new customer leads, based on customer scan, competitive intelligence, and understanding of market needs. As customer and market insights are gathered feed information back to Business Groups as appropriate
  • Help identify and manage relationships with local KOLs, societies, alliances, sponsors, advisory boards, in collaboration with global regional marketing and sales
  • Identify and design campaigns best suited to achieve objectives for target customer segments across the lifecycle of products, working with 3rd party companies as appropriate and ensure successful and measured implementation
  • Manage local market events to deliver high ROI, developing metrics and measurement tools to evaluate and maximize ROI of campaigns
  • Develop and implement local strategies for services and solutions to obtain market leading position, profitably with effective use of competitive intelligence, based on customer and market inputs
  • Support product managers in setting and adjusting local prices to maximize value capture by providing local market intelligence to inform local price corridors and guidance for local discounting
  • Support the development of two product managers, providing stretch opportunities with guidance, focusing on strengths and key development areas
  • Responsible for the daily management of direct reports in the team driving the operational execution of the marketing plans
  • Build marketing competencies and capabilities across the sleep and respiratory care teams
  • Responsible for Coaching and Development for the direct team as well as driving leadership behaviors across the wider SRC Team
  • Manage and maintain the Marketing Budget given annually
  • Bachelor’s degree (in relevant field is a plus)
  • 6 to 8 years in Marketing
  • Experience on consumer Medical Devices is plus
  • Understands the changes in the NHS and how these are impacting on local market needs and dynamics as well as the company portfolio offerings and positioning
  • Experience in marketing, sales, product development, or related field
  • Experience in high tech, healthcare/med-tech solutions businesses
  • Experience in healthcare digital and channel marketing, with focus on consumer as well as clinician
  • Experience of new product launches
  • Experience of driving sales growth in new and existing markets - identifying local opportunities and interacting with decision makers
  • Proven communication skills and ability to influence colleagues and customers
  • Able to demonstrate ability to own and drive the Marketing strategy
  • Ability to maintain high motivation in sales force organization
  • Ability to collect and comprehend local market trends and competitive intelligence into actionable input for the Global and regional marketing teams
  • Ability to think creatively to develop/shape markets whenever possible, exploiting Philips technologies, market positions and brand
  • Collaborative mindset to work with cross-section of sales, marketing, and analytics resources to develop solution-oriented sales development programs
