BP is recruiting a Offshore Installation Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Provide leadership in demonstrating BP's commitment to policy of "No accidents, No harm to people, and No harm to the environment" with clear personal commitment to safety and providing a safe place to execute work through managing risks
- Lead offshore team in the delivery of asset performance targets for safety, production, costs, and team development
- Responsible for assurance that all offshore operations comply with internal policies and practices and external legislation
- Managing performance, competence, succession planning, training and reward for the offshore team
- Communication in an open, straightforward fashion across teams and sub-functions
- Setting both short and medium term priorities for operational activities to deliver the agreed asset performance contract
- Accountable for development and delivery of the offshore component of the asset operating budget
- Assure preparedness for emergencies and executing command and control of emergency situations
- Provide training, mentoring, and leadership in the offshore operations team succession and resourcing plans in conjunction with HR Best Practices
- Ensure that the interface and planning activities between the sub-function offshore execution scopes are well defined and effectively managed to deliver high quality efficient execution. Accountable for approval and execution of the 6week and 2 week plan
- Work with engineering and other asset teams to deliver Best in Class operations in safety , reliability and efficiency
- Accountable for simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) within the field operating area, including vessel operations in and around the facility and subsea infrastructure
- Accountable for Operating Discipline compliance against the Upstream Safety Leadership principles, GOO OD requirements and Angola regional procedure (i.e. following outlined practices, understanding our gaps and closing our gaps)
Requisites
- Highly capable Operation manager and a broad experience in all aspects of offshore operations
- Must have a full understanding of safety management for offshore operations and have demonstrated personal commitment to safety
- Proven track record of coaching and managing a multi-disciplined team
- Detailed knowledge of BP safety management systems
- Site controller experience against the Upstream Control of Work procedure
- Proven track record of delivering and instilling operating discipline
- Operation of an offshore Hydrocarbon processing facility
- In depth Knowledge of the principals and application of Process safety
- Proven skills in developing a multi-disciplined team
