Operations Manager

Duties

• Promoting safety and in all respects demonstrate visible leadership in safety
• Working closely with our Chartering Team to ensure full handover of finalized contracts, proper delivery and redelivery of our vessels and managing contractual optional periods and case extensions
• Being the Charterers´ first point of contact on day to day execution of the commercial requirements
• Sending voyage instructions and bunker instructions to vessels
• Appointing agents and negotiating terms and conditions in connection with port calls as well as canal passage, if any
• Preparing order letters and order e-mails to the vessels, and instructing the vessels about fixtures and important charter party clauses
• Supporting relevant departments to ensure that Flag state, audit and/or Class findings are attended, remedied and closed out in a timely fashion
• Ensuring any recommendations are adequately dealt with to maintain vessel compliance to Class and Flag state regulations
• Managing local regulatory, certification and licenses for the vessels and completing applications of the same
