Operations Manager
Oceaneering Angola
Oceaneering is recruiting a Operations Manager, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Primary client point of contact responsible for the delivery of Oceaneering support as defined in the contract agreement under the Corrosion and Inspection Management (CIM) scope:
- Lead the team in delivering a managed integrity service which identifies through accurate reporting the risks associated with plant condition
- Oversee planning and organisation of allocation of resources and the workflow within the team to the required standards and time constraints
- Lead with managing and developing staff
- Ensure all working procedures, practices and systems are followed and that accurate and detailed records are maintained
- Liaise with clients as required and ensure good relationships are maintained and with internal departments to provide support as necessary
- Manage service contracts where applicable, and ensure projects are completed to deadlines, and in accordance with requirements
- Manage personnel carrying out field investigations and inspections
- Manage remote resources to ensure delivery to agreed timeframes and quality, these include the UK RBA team, UK Angolan support team
- Performance manage the contract through agreed key performance indicators
- Ensure provision of competent personnel in the areas of service management, corrosion inspection management, specialist engineers and technicians to deliver the scope
- Responsible for the final selection/vetting of new applicants
- Ensure that best practice, technology, techniques and innovation, developed and implemented across similar contracts are applied to the business unit
- Main area’s of delivery include but are not limited to:
- Review and utilisation of the RBA’s of plant and systems
- Delivery of inspection work pack and inspections
- Inspection Query process
- ACET database development and usage
- Fabric maintenance
- Reporting of KPI’s
- Management of overdue/deferred/delivered inspections
- Management and improvement of planning process to ensure gates are met and support work packs and access are in place
- Prioritisation of the works based on risk to the process plant
- Dead leg/CUI management delivery
- Business Development: Ensure opportunities to recruit resources are dealt with promptly to maximise delivery of the service
- Safety: Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to in order to ensure a safe working environment
- Ensure compliance with Oceaneering and BP, HSEQ policies, systems and procedures
- Other: Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
- Perform assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment
- Personnel assigned on behalf of Oceaneering in Angola and remote support staff in UK and Dubai
Requisites
- Minimum educated to degree level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- 10 years project management experience in the Oil & Gas industry ideally in a senior position
- Experience in the position of Integrity team lead/senior Inspection engineer/senior corrosion engineer
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills; Ability to work with all levels of personnel (internal and external to organisation)
- Profit & loss account experience
- Asset Integrity experience essential
- Microsoft Excel and Windows
