CA Global Africa Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Accountant, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Maintain USGaap on monthly basis
- Maintain Statutory books on annual basis
- Prepare inputs for statutory financial statements
- Coordinate with external accounting firms
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Review USGaap books on monthly basis
- Variance analysis and Accounts reconciliations
- Tax, payroll and social charges follow-up
- Prepare inputs for external accounting firm
- Review tax, monthly payroll and social charges returns
- Prepare annual reports for labor and tax administrations
- Prepare legal documents with the assistance of external law firm
- Accounts receivables and payable
- Maintain legal, tax, employees and social returns folders
- Maintenance of AR ledger including opening/closing projects
- Record cash collection
- Report weekly cash position
- Record clients’ invoices
- Create new suppliers and bank accounts in Oracle AP
- Scan supplier invoices and send to outsourced accounting company
- Process expense reports (ERs)
- Control invoices allocations by projects
- Conduct regular audits of expenses
- Settle local suppliers invoices and employees ERs, with the help of external accounting firm
- Prepare foreign suppliers payment files
- Maintain suppliers invoices and employees ERs folders
- Transfer pricing
- Document intercompany invoices
- Coordinate with other BCG offices finance teams
- Prepare payment files
Requisites
- Master degree with major in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
- Experience providing high level of customer service, managing highly confidential materials and administrative tasks
- Experience in a professional services firm is a plus
- Expert level in Excel
- Knowledge of Oracle and Business Objects is helpful
- Strong knowledge of principles, procedures, and practices of Angolan and US general accounting
- Fluent in Portuguese, spoken and written English is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
- Customer service orientation with creative, resourceful, can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently, to take initiative and to overcome obstacles
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Flexibility, ability to easily adapt to changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) to effectively work with all levels of the organization, while demonstrating a positive personal and professional image
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Work experience in a global or multi-national environment is a plus
- Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment
- Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential
