Puma Energy is recruiting a Technical Buyer, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- Providing a one stop customer service to Construction, and Technical teams regarding the timeous and accurate supply of equipment and technical services
- Co-ordinating the total material supply process from request through optimisation, Procurement, Warehousing and Distribution by liaison with all the different role players in the supply chain
- Representing Procurement on all relevant forums in the company to give feedback regarding inventory and equipment availability which may affect construction and project activities
- Performs Technical Procurement Support By:
- Consolidating technical requirements in conjunction with all departments and OEM specifications and offered services
- Deciding on the optimal material planning parameters, and providing a fair and auditable trace of supplier evaluations and adjudications
- Executing MRP exercises and match demand with supply by interpreting the MRP exercise result, and ensuring a cost effective supply of equipment
- Reporting By: Compiling high level management report on available material, supply chain related issues and quantify risks to key end-users
- Reporting and recommendations on OEM and supplier manufacturing specifications and application to projects within the organisation
- Negotiating with suppliers to meet Construction, and Technical planned expectations
- Co-ordinate the analysis of inventory at warehousing level in order to devise action plans to address over and under supply
- Monitoring and reporting on action plans
- Representing Procurement on all relevant forums in the company to give feedback regarding inventory and equipment availability which may affect construction and project activities
- Maintaining strong and professional relationships with key equipment suppliers
Requisites
- Experience relevant to this role
- Diploma: Logistics Management (required)
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong leadership and experience developing credibility with internal and external partners
- Languages: English and Portuguese
